For the last couple of months, I have watched and read about the Black Live Matter protests and movement across our nation. Even Hillsboro, Kansas, has been involved and held a march in June. And the last issue of the Christian Leader posted an editorial about Black Lives Matter.
As I read about these protests, my thoughts began to expand. What about all the black babies which are killed each year in the greatest nation in the world? “Black Lives Matter.” Today, with more than 28 percent of all black pregnancies ending in induced abortion, it is a human crisis. Abortion is the number one killer of black lives in the United States. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, abortion kills more black people than HIV, homicide, diabetes, accident, cancer and heart disease—combined. In 2014, African-American women comprised 13.3 percent of the U.S. population, but black women had 36 percent of all abortions. “Black Lives Matter.” At a ratio of 474 abortions per 1,000 live births, black women have the highest ratio of any group in the country. “Black Lives Matter.”
Our nation has been turned upside down with the killing of George Floyd, or at least that is what we are told from the various news sources. Burning, looting, seizure of property, beatings and even killing of police officers have been the results. “Black Lives Matter.” But not ONCE have I heard anyone mention the 1,000 black babies being killed each day disguised as “women’s health.” “Black Lives Matter.” No one has formed marches, given speeches, looted, burned and screamed death to cops to stop mass genocide of this most precious human resource. Black Lives Matter promotes and supports birth control by killing.
George Floyd had a choice to submit or resist law officers. I have no idea what his decision was at the time of his arrest or if it would have made a difference to the outcome. But I know innocent human black babies have no choice when a doctor terminates their life from the mothers’ womb. “Black Lives Matter.” WHERE IS THE CRY FOR THEM? If we, as a nation, are serious about “reform,” let’s start with saving 365,000 lives a year, then we can all say with respect “Black Lives Matter.” When anarchy raises its ugly head, common sense goes out the door.
The reality is that “All Lives Matter” not just black lives! Jesus proved that by dying on a cross 2000 years ago to provide life for everyone. One man named George brought out thousands to protest for “reform.” Is there no one to march for the saving of 365,000 unnamed black lives? Not politically correct? Tell that to Jesus!
