Lincoln Glen Church celebrated Albright during a special service on Sunday, Jan. 11. Attendees included current and former members of the church with several driving and flying across the country to attend. Missionaries and pastors from other churches, staff from local restaurants and even the Vice Mayor of San Jose attended the event.

PDC gives Albright honorary title

Jordan Ringhoffer, Pacific District minister, honored Albright at the event, giving him the honorary title of pastor emeritus of Lincoln Glen Church.

The church and community also honored Albright’s wife, Debi, who also faithfully served in the church in various roles.

Appreciation goes both ways

Tyler Cole, pastor of Lincoln Glen Church, shared in an email after the event about the impact of the couple’s ministry.

“Larry and Debi have served people tirelessly through their ministry roles, but their impact goes well beyond that,” Cole says. “They simply love people. They don’t need to use a ministry of the church as a vehicle to love people. Perhaps their greatest impact happened simply by living out Jesus’ command to love one another.”

In an email to the congregation after the event, Larry and Debi write: “We felt honored all day, but we really loved the fact that the glory went to Jesus who is worthy of all our praise. We were just his instruments among you because we cannot do anything without his power and strength in us.”

  1. Fran & I remember well when Larry & Debi started at Lincoln Glen. We were pastoring the Cliffwood Heights Neighborhood Church in Capitola, a nearby MB Church. We remember how well they sang together, in our MB pastoral get-togethers! Congrats on a long and effective ministry!
