The building of Crossroads Bible Fellowship, a Mennonite Brethren congregation in Balko, Okla., was damaged by an apparent tornado in the early morning hours Sunday, June 13. No one was injured. Early reports are that the structure is sound and repairable, but will cost a significant amount to repair. The congregation is in the process of determining their next steps.
Pastor James Epp says, “Please pray as we seek God for his guidance and direction. Pray that we can be God’s light during this time.”
The Balko church was also hit by a tornado 27 years ago to the day. Damage from that June 13, 1983 storm was repaired within a few weeks.
