Veteran faculty members have been promoted to dean as part of an academic restructuring at Fresno Pacific University.

Michelle Bradford has been appointed dean of the new School of Graduate and Professional Studies, and Quentin Kinnison was selected as dean of the new School of Arts and Sciences. Bradford started her new duties July 7 and Kinnsion July 22.

“Quentin and Michelle are both excellent faculty who are experts in their fields and dedicated to students,” says André Stephens, FPU president. “Their caring and experience will inform our new structure, designed to present a smoother pathway to a degree and success beyond.”

FPU converted from five schools to two in January 2024. Those new schools, which include Fresno Pacific Biblical Seminary, are the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS) and the School of Graduate and Professional Studies (GPS). Programs, both graduate and undergraduate, in areas such as business and education are under GPS, while undergraduate programs in the sciences, visual and performing arts and social sciences—history, psychology, etc.—are part of SAS. Many general education courses required by various majors are also included in SAS. During the transition period, Bradford served as interim dean of GPS, while Kinnison served as associate dean in SAS.

Prior to their new posts, Bradford was interim dean of the (former) School of Business, assistant professor of business and head of the MBA program, while Kinnison was an associate professor of Christian ministry and director of the Christian ministry and leadership program. Bradford joined FPU in 2019 and Kinnison joined in 2008.

Bradford has a Doctorate in Psychology from Alliant International University, an MBA from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing from Inter American University of Puerto Rico.

Kinnison has a doctorate in Practical Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, a Masters of Divinity from Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts in Bible and English Literature from Grand Canyon University.
