Three U.S. Mennonite Brethren churches in Hillsboro, Kansas, gathered together for a time of worship and fellowship on March 8.
Hillsboro MB Church, Ebenfeld MB Church and Parkview MB Church—all located in Hillsboro—have joined forces the last three years to plan the MB Unity Service. The churches invite their congregations to come together for this united event to worship, pray and hear God’s Word together.
“People in our congregations have enjoyed getting together and worshipping as ‘The Church,’” says Jeremy Matlock, pastor of Hillsboro MB Church, in a follow-up email after the event.

Tom Byford, pastor of Parkview MB Church, explained via email that all three MB churches in Hillsboro assist in planning the service. The worship service included a praise team with people from all three churches. In addition, Brad Vogel, conductor and composer, led a unity choir with participants from all three churches as part of the service.

This year, Bruce Enns, general director of Multiply, the mission agency of MB churches in North America, spoke on unity and mission.
“It’s interesting that unity empowers kingdom work and doing kingdom work strengthens unity,” Matlock says of Enns’ message.
Held in the Tabor College Fine Arts building, MB Foundation sponsored and served donuts and coffee before the 10:30 service began.
