After nearly five years of faithful service, Joseph Jones will be retiring as president of Fresno Pacific University during the summer of 2022. The announcement was made Nov. 6, 2021 by FPU Board of Trustees chair Joshua Wilson.
“On behalf of the FPU Board of Trustees I want to thank Joe and Yvette for their faithful service to the university and to the communities the university serves,” Wilson said in a statement. “We wish them all the best in their future journey and pray for God’s blessing on them.”
President Jones and his wife, Yvette, greatly look forward to the opportunity to spend more time with their children and grandchildren.
The board is now initiating the process to identify the next individual to take up the presidency. Details about the search process and timeline will be announced at a future time.
“Please join our community in prayer that God will grant us wisdom and discernment as we seek his will for leadership,” Wilson said.
