If the Leader is to become another political forum, count me out! I endure enough political animus in my local newspaper and TV news without it also invading my Christian literature. There is enough political division and hatred in our political dialogue already. We definitely don’t need our denominational periodical stoking the political rhetoric within the domain of the church. A recent political hit letter in our local newspaper was identified as coming from a professor in our denominational university. While I don’t think our church leaders should identify their political rhetoric publicly, the secular newspaper is where it belongs, not in the pages or electronic transmission of our denominational periodical. Mr. Fast has a right to his politics, but keep it out of the Leader!
