MB Foundation announces the expansion of its planned giving team with the addition of Guy Burgo as gift and estate design specialist, beginning Sept. 3. In this new position, Burgo will support clients in their gift and estate planning and help them maximize the impact of their God-given resources.

Burgo brings extensive experience from his career in ministry, focusing on biblical stewardship aspects of gift and estate design. Prior to joining MB Foundation, he served at Dallas Seminary Foundation, Orchard Alliance and as president of Planned Giving Ministries.

“We are thrilled to welcome Guy to our team,” says Jon C. Wiebe, president and CEO of MB Foundation. “Having worked with him to craft our current will planning approach years ago, I’ve seen his commitment to helping people live out their stewardship calling. His experience will greatly support and grow our efforts as we continue our ministry of providing biblical financial stewardship solutions.”

Throughout his career, Burgo has consulted with over 150 ministries and churches nationwide, including Prison Fellowship, National Day of Prayer, Compassion International, Biola University, Teen Challenge, Family Life, Insight for Living, InterVarsity and Mission Aviation Fellowship.

“Joining MB Foundation is an exciting transition, as I’m already familiar with its mission and values,” says Burgo. “I’ve been blessed with the opportunity to serve families throughout my career, and I’m excited to continue helping God’s people steward God’s resources for God’s glory.”

He is also the author of Free to Give as God Intended — A Biblical Look at Christian Giving. In addition, he co-founded the Fellowship of Christian Fundraising Professionals and is a member of the Christian Legal Society.

Burgo is an ordained minister with a passion to help Christians be good stewards of all God has entrusted to them. Over the years, he has helped more than 2,500 families around the country design their wills and trusts from a biblical perspective.

As he serves in this role, Burgo will work remotely from the Colorado Springs area where he and his wife reside.
