Dan Unrau and James Nicodem have accepted invitations to speak at Conection 2012, the next U.S. Mennonite Brethren national convention. Unrau is pastor of Fraserview MB Church, Richmond, B.C., and will address the impact of generational spirituality and systems in local church and conference ministries. Nicodem, author of Prayer Coach, will speak on spiritual disciplines.
"I am passionate about family… its dynamic, its roll in our lives, how the family we come from & the family we are now part of is the primary source of our individual identity," says Unrau on his church's Web site. Unrau spoke on generational spirituality at the 2010 Renewing Identity and Mission consultation held in July 2010 to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Mennonite Brethren Church. He has written two books that were published by Kindred Productions, the North American MB publishing ministry.
James. L. Nicodem is the founder and senior pastor of Christ Community Church in St. Charles, Illinois. A graduate of Wheaton College and Trinity Evangelical Divinity School (MDiv, DMin), Nicodem enjoys helping believers deepen their relationships with Christ. He and his wife, Sue, reside in a western suburb of Chicago and have three children.
Conection 2012 is planned for July 25-28 in Omaha, Neb. Omaha is home to three Mennonite Brethren congregations and two church plants. Prior to Conection 2012, church staff members and spouses are invited to a National Pastors' Conference. —USC
