Two Mennonite Brethren churches in Oklahoma and Kansas are hosting Multiply Partnership Workshops in April.

Corn (Okla.) MB Church will host a workshop on April 20 and Zoar MB Church in Inman, Kan., on April 27.

Open to anyone, including leaders from other churches, Partnership Workshops offer encouragement for church leaders, especially mission leaders, and help connect North American churches to missionaries, national leaders and churches in other countries.

“(Partnership Workshops are) an important event for church leaders for deeper discussions around their specific church’s global engagement and what healthy partnership looks like,” says East of the Rockies mobilizer and workshop co-leader Stephen Humber.

Joining Humber as a workshop leader is Joanna Chapa, East of the Rockies Mobilizer and former missionary to Peru. Carmen Owen, liaison with Naomi House in Thailand, and Nasser al’Qahtani, regional team leader for the Middle East and North Africa, will attend the April 27 event in Inman.

Training focuses on forging healthy and honoring relationships with North American workers and in-country national leaders and projects.

“The day is full of encouragement, stories from global workers and honest discussion about how to partner better,” according to a promotional flyer.

A relatively new event, Partnership Workshops have been held in Hillsboro, Kansas; Fairview, Oklahoma; Mission, Texas; Reedley, California; Fresno, California; Bakersfield, California; and Blaine, Washington.
